Latest 2 weekends have brought more club records and high standings from Napier Archers.

At BUCS Indoor Championships we got our highest place to date – senior team came 13th, novices were 9th.

See Club Records and Results pages for detailed information.

See Bannockburn Bowmen website for target list for this Sunday:

A busy weekend for Napier archers is successfully completed.

Latest results are uploaded – see Results. Well done to Team Napier for keeping a strong second position in novice and senior categories!

It is also worth checking the Records page, as quite a few club records have been established! Definitely go there before they get wiped away this coming weekend! Record smashing continues…

Message to seniors:

I will be there at 6, maybe a little earlier. If nobody turns up by 6:20, I probably will leave.
Come, if you dare – it may be wet, windy and cold…

Week 4 already! How did that happen…

This is the first week of our regular 2 times per week indoor sessions at the North Merchiston Club:

Fridays 8 – 10 pm
Sundays 4 – 7 pm

These sessions will be mixed between seniors and novices for now, as seniors should still be able to stand the conditions outside during the week…

We will head to McCowans Brewhouse, our new sponsor, soon after each of these sessions. One night per week there will be free food served, provided we keep our numbers as strong as they have been! The usual 10 % discount still applies (ask Jules, if you haven’t got a discount card yet).

Please join us at McCowans, also if you aren’t coming to the archery session. Feel free to bring your friends! Unfortunately, at this stage, no one under 18 is allowed in the pub – but don’t worry, we will try to organise other outings where everybody will be able to join in!

Sessions for seniors (at Craiglockhart):

Tuesday 6 pm – dark
Thursday 6 pm – dark

Whenever possible, we will hold these sessions earlier – check the google calendar before you go!!

If any senior wants to shoot outside that time, they need to find a committee member to accompany them. Remember, at least one committee member plus ANY other person to hold a session at Craiglockhart!

We managed to pur stands together with Niall, so seniors are welcome to shoot tonight!

Please note some changes to the calendar – no Beginner Training on Tuesday.
This is due to the fact that we moved all the equipment to North Merchiston Club (all available targets and all club bows and arrows).

Training for Novice / Beginner archers:
- Sunday 25th, 4 – 7 pm, North Merchiston Club

Training for Seniors only (to be confirmed):
- Tuesday 20th, 6 – 8 pm, Craiglockhart
- Thursday 22nd, 6 – 8 pm, Crailglockhart
Seniors will be able to shoot at these sessions as soon as we get stands for the 2 foam bosses stored at Craiglockhart.

We are meeting at North Merchiston Club at 4:00 pm this Sunday to have our first session indoors at this venue!

We will be meeting at the McCowans Brewhouse soon after the session and they will have some free food for us around 7:30 pm. Please come also, if you are not able to make the archery session.

Please bring money to purchase Sports Union cards, if you haven’t got one yet – see the Sports Union Cards post.

See the Join us section for information on the venue.

Just a note to acknowledge that the weather isn’t great but at least some of us will be at Craiglockhart tonight waiting for the keenest beginners!
If it’s too wet, we’ll go inside the building and talk a little about the equipment.

For those who decide not to come today because of the weather, we have good news! Starting this Sunday we go indoors at the North Merchiston Club!
